Regular Decision Freshman Applicants 2012-13

Below are the financial aid application requirements if you are a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen applying as a regular decision applicant. If you are an international applicant, or an undocumented student residing in the U.S., click here.

Once you complete these steps, use our simplified checklist to make sure you’ve got all the required elements together before submitting your application.

Complete the College Scholarship Service (CSS) PROFILE online. 

Cornell’s CSS code is 2098.

 

If your parents are divorced or separated, we require completion of the Noncustodial Parent PROFILE.

 

If you are a non-U.S. citizen, but have permanent residency, you must provide documentation of permanent residency.

 

Complete the 2012-13 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online.

Cornell’s FAFSA code is 002711.

 

Send 2011 federal parent and student tax returns to Cornell.

  • Must be a copy of return(s) actually filed with the IRS
  • Include all schedules, such as schedule A, B, C, C-EZ, E, and/or F
  • Include all W2s for parents and student
  • The 1040 form must include an ink signature if self-prepared
  • If parents are divorced or separated, noncustodial parent taxes must also be sent
  • If no taxes are filed, submit a non-filing statement
