Applying for Aid
International Students
Cornell University is pleased to provide financial aid to students who are not citizens of the United States on a limited basis. Students who have dual U.S. citizenship should follow the instructions for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents.

Financial aid for international students is made available from University funds as well as from scholarships that include (but are not limited to) the Cornell Club of Hong Kong Scholarship, The Robert and Wendy Purcell Scholarship for students from the Philippines and Thailand, and the Tata Scholarship for students from India.

To apply for international student financial aid, applicants should submit to Cornell: 

  • the International Financial Aid Application on time to receive full consideration.
  • passport photocopy
  • custodial parent income documentation 
  • non-custodial parent income documentation (if applicable)

    and complete online:
  • the 2010-2011 CSS PROFILE*
  • the 2010-2011 CSS non-custodial parent PROFILE (if applicable)

*Applicants from the following countries must email the Office of Financial Aid for a paper copy of the CSS PROFILE: Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, and Togo.

Deadlines and admission acceptance policies are the same for all applicants.
