Alternative Enrollment Programs

Engineering Co-op Program

  • Family contribution, including your Summer Savings Expectation (SSE), is determined in the same way as if you attend during the regular academic year
  • Financial aid package is for summer session and spring; co-op assignment is typically in the fall
  • Financial Aid Application deadline is March 1st
  • Award notifications are sent beginning in mid-May
  • Save as much as possible from your co-op job placement earnings to meet your increased SSE for the following academic year

Field Study and Internship Programs

  • Includes (but is not limited to) Capital Semester-in-Albany, Urban Semester, Cornell-in-Washington, ILR Credit Internship, and Hotel Management Internship Program
  • Financial aid is reviewed the same way as if you were on campus

Study Abroad Programs

  • Includes (but is not limited to) Cornell In Rome, S.E.A. Semester, CALS International Exchange, Architecture in NYC, and Cornell Abroad
  • Your financial aid package is reviewed based on the budget provided by the office sponsoring your abroad program
