International Financial Aid

Cornell University is pleased to provide financial aid, on a limited basis, to students who are not citizens of the United States. Beginning Fall 2010, financial aid funding that had been limited to Canadian and Mexican undergraduate students1 will be used for all international students. Applicants who have dual U.S. citizenship should follow the instructions for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents.

To apply for international student financial aid, applicants should submit to Cornell: 

  • the International Financial Aid Application on time to receive full consideration.
  • passport photocopy
  • custodial parent income documentation 
  • non-custodial parent income documentation (if applicable)

Deadlines and admission acceptance policies are the same for all applicants. 

1Canadian and Mexican students who matriculated at Cornell prior to Fall 2010 will continue to receive financial aid under the policy that was in effect at the time of matriculation.

2Applicants from the following countries must email the Office of Financial Aid for a paper copy of the CSS PROFILE: Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, and Togo.
