Fall Transfer Applicants 2013-14

Below are the financial aid application requirements if you are a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen [1] applying as a fall transfer applicant. If you are an international applicant, or an undocumented student residing in the U.S., click here [2].

Due By March 1, 2013 (postmarked)

Complete the 2013-2014 College Scholarship Service (CSS) PROFILE [4] online

  • Cornell's CSS code is 2098

Complete the 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA [5]) online

  • Cornell's FAFSA code is 002711

Submit the 2013 Transfer Financial Aid Application [6]

  • Must be signed by all parties submitting information as part of the aid application

Submit 2012 federal tax returns for custodial parent(s) 

Submit 2012 federal tax returns for student

If parents are divorced, separated, or were never married:

Complete the Noncustodial Parent PROFILE [9]

  • Following completion of the CSS PROFILE registration process, the College Board will provide the student with instructions and information to pass on to the noncustodial parent. If the student does not have contact with the noncustodial parent, please review the Noncustodial Waiver Petition [10].

Submit 2012 federal tax returns for non-custodial parent(s)

  • Include ink-signed 1040s, all schedules and W2s
  • Must be copies of returns actually filed with the IRS
  • If no taxes were filed with the IRS for 2012, submit the Cornell non-filing statement for parents [7]
  • if the noncustodial parent is re-married, the current spouse's information is also required

If you are a non-US citizen but have permanent residency or are an eligible non-citizen:

Provide documentation [1] of permanent residency

  • Black and white copy of the front and back of your Alien Registration Card (I-155)
  • Arrival/Departure Record (I-94) with all endorsements and temporary I-155 stamp that has not expired
