Federal Work Study (FWS)
Eligibility Requirements
- US Citizens and permanent residents with financial need
- Complete the financial aid process
- Federal government pays a percentage of your wages, making you an appealing job applicant
- FWS can be used with any on-campus job, and pre-approved off-campus jobs
- Your awarded amount will not credit to your bursar bill; you receive a bi-weekly paycheck for hours worked
- The amount awarded indicates what you are expected to earn by working during the academic year
- Conduct your own job search; jobs are posted on uPortal.cornell.edu and updated daily
